Lunch at Kedai Kopi Behrang. We have eaten at this kopitiam quite a few times before. The attraction here is the wild fresh river fish and prawns caught from Sungai Bernam. We wanted to order ikan kelah (same family as the Empurau) but cost a lot less (about RM160.00/kg)
However ikan kelah was unavailable. “Soon hock” also not available. So we settled for ikan patin. Also good. Patin cost RM70.00/kg. This cost about RM150.00/kg at Karak.
The fresh river prawn cost RM125.00/kg
The 4 dishes plus rice and Chinese tea cost a total RM263.00, not costly compared to KL/PJ/Parit Jawa/Karak. Food was good.
