actually i did not know about this cafe, Kei Rop Pi Cafe, at all. it was just my luck i happened to want to walk along new lane and suddenly saw this cafe - kei rop pi cafe. it is located opposite sunway hotel and next to the ban heang biscuit shop. 'kei rop pi' is 'roadside' in hokkien and i suppose they used this name because they are selling lots of roadside hawkers food.
The 2023 michelin selected jawa mee, Misai Mee Jawa. RM10.00 but free on its grand opening day.
Kei Rop Pi Cafe is very big and spacious. inside air con area, they have the two types of seating. most normal meals will be here. inside the cafe is filled with several vintage stuffs. there is also a dining space outside (non air con) out in the open (but with roof). i was told usually people who wanted to have a drink (alcohol i mean) will gather there. then there is upstairs too, which is more for 'private room' or gathering, where there is karaoke and drinking.
beside hawkers food, they have chinese food, western food, breakfast food, buns and pastries. you can go to their FB link below for their menu.
