You won’t find this version of sar hor fun anywhere else except at Lau Pheng Yu Bukit Mertajam. Period. I simply love the smokiness of the chopped charsiew and flossed crab meat tossed over the gravy and braised horfun (with duck egg). It’s our family favourite which began in the 50s when my grandfather would buy this sar hor fun for my father and his siblings.
