Robert does this little dance whenever he cooks his char kuay teow; almost as though he’s “feeling” the noodles as he goes about frying. Most of his customers are regulars

Missing a duck egg, and hum. But very acceptable over the years. Still very much comfort food.

This time around, we managed to sample the roast chicken and char siew too. Not bad at all, coming in at 7/10. The char siew was also very respectable at 7/10.

The choy kiok (vegetable legs) served by the chicken rice store was actually the clincher for me at 7.5/10

I’m not sure it’s a staple offering, but today when served with rice it was magic.
The pork ball noodles was ok at 6/10


The roast pork was also solid at 6.5/10
