Greek
The leisurely lunch at Elefsina was pleasurable to say the least. Whiling time away like the Athenians & Corinthians do on a sunny wintry afternoon. We crossed over to Peloponnese – and the first stop along the way was Elefsina at the edge of Attica.
Kapaki was a local joint alright. We were the only foreigners dining. It was obvious. But Greeks (like Italians – and dare I say Mediterraneans) are welcoming;
We ordered the shrimps, the pork knuckle and the chicken – all excellent choices at 7/10 each.

Kapaki is as local as they get – and that’s a good thing. 30 to 45 mins from the Athenian city centre, en route to Corinth, you get a local town called Elefsina. It boasts the longest walking/ shopping streets 1.6km in Greece – but what’s more important – Kapaki at the town square of Elefsina is a veritable respite.
The dish of the day has to be the pork knuckle – and I finished off lunch my own hand picked orange from a Corinthian tree nearby!
