Chiefeater Khor Hui Min enjoyed the ban xeo she ordered at Banh Mi Cafe in Bandar Puteri Puchong

Grilled Stingray, Non-Halal
Tried the grilled stingray and drunken chicken from Majestic Fish House Puchong. The packaging looked impressive when it arrived. I thought this was going to be good.

The stingray portion was generous, and the flesh was moist with a nice flake. Unfortunately, the marinade lacked punch. There wasn’t enough sambal kick or smoky char to elevate the dish. It felt like the fish did all the heavy lifting on its own. The stingray was fresh for sure but that was about it.

The drunken chicken didn’t fare much better. While the texture was passable, the broth was underpowered. That herbal wine aroma that typically makes this dish shine was almost absent. A pity, as this could’ve been a warming, satisfying dish on a rainy evening.
