With six existing chains scattered around Singapore, I’m pretty sure most of you have heard of Malaysia Boleh! Great World, a coffee shop like eatery selling traditional Malaysian hawker fare.

Knowing that almost all the cooks at Malaysia Boleh! are true-blue Malaysians scouted to re-create the authentic flavours of Malaysian street delicacies, I was excited to try. Finally, this might be the place for good Penang carrot cake and chilli ban mian without having to cross the borders.
This place has been around since 2020. Overall 6/10. Not bad. Nanyang still takes the cake at 6.5/10. Again these are franchisees throughout the island – some might tickle your tastebuds more.
There are other delicacies as well eg Klang BKT, chilli pan mee and claypot rice. For me, the best of the lot would still be the CKT or CKK (kuey kak, carrot cake). My advice (for Malaysian here in Sg) is to sample a few of these and see which comes closest to your childhood memories.
