Chiefeater Kane Chong explored Bistro Monologue in Bukit Puchong for dinner, music, and a surprisingly solid night out

Indian, Non-Halal
Nadu Bistrol One of the best curries in Bristol. And that’s saying a lot- the Brits know a thing or two about curries. Nadu brings authentic Tamil Nadu palates to Brizzle and with gusto.

I enjoyed black pork curry the most – but everything we ordered, the fish and the foot long dosa (elongated version of the paper dosa we get in South East Asia) was good – 7/10
The black pork curry had a massaman twang to it – and the balance of flavours was elegant, deep and inviting. Definitely a main you’d have several bowls of fluffy pilao rice with.

The ‘Share and Tear Dosa’ is huge. Several feet long.

The English weather post a Brizzle pub crawl made Nadu all the more inviting. I must say I was pleasantly surprised in a good way!
Nadu is the second opening from the team behind Clifton’s Nutmeg. This isn’t more of their regional Indian cooking though, but what they call ‘traditional Tamil street food with a modern twist’. The midnight walls and the quirky camber of the street outside are oddly appropriate here
