Nasi Minyak, Street Food, Pork-Free
Out of convenience, I decided to stop by a road side tent at Nasi Dalca Mamu Idris for some Malay style food. The name may say Nasi Dalca but what they serve up is Nasi Minyak, a multi coloured Nasi Minyak. Located along the road kerb right Infront of Speedmart 99, corner of Jln Sungai Nyor / Jln New Ferry Butterworth, This Nasi Minyak is one of the better ones, nice , individual grain and not overly jelat with Oil. There not much other accompanying items.
I had the lamb, and cabbage as accompaniment. I think I would try out other choices next time. Basically large cut chicken, curry, deep-fried, masak hitam. While one can dine in there, there a few tables n chairs under the tent. It's pretty hot, so bungkus it was. Portion was large and filling, all for RM12.
