Shun De Ren Jia Restaurant's wood-fired roast goose impressed with its succulent meat and beautifully roasted skin

Nanyang Style
Since they went public, I am very happy to find the food at Oriental Kopi Bandar Puteri Puchong has actually gotten better. I’ve had their Nasi Lemak before, but this time, the fragrance of the rice was immediately noticeable. It was cooked perfectly and very aromatic.

It was so good, in fact, that I decided to save the accompanying curry chicken for dinner later, choosing to enjoy the rice, crunchy ikan bilis, well-roasted groundnuts, and the beautifully settled egg on their own.

The Butter Kopi O was another highlight. I really enjoyed that the butter was served on the side, allowing me to add it at my own pace; the way the buttery aroma intermingled with the coffee provided a lovely, sophisticated start to the meal. The service was equally impressive, making the entire experience feel well-curated and enjoyable.

M – Meal Value
At roughly over RM20 per head (after taxes and other charges) for a hearty breakfast in a premium-feeling kopitiam setting, the value is good, especially given the noticeable uptick in quality since the brand’s expansion.

V – Venue & Vibes
The Puchong outlet is spacious, well-lit, and clean. It offers a “modern Nanyang” aesthetic that is comfortable for both quick meals and longer social gatherings.

X – X-Factor
The fragrance of the Nasi Lemak is one. The “DIY” Butter Kopi O. The butter served on the side, is a thoughtful touch that enhances the customer experience, allowing for personal control over the richness and aroma of the coffee.
