Prawn Mee, Non-Halal
premium hokkien mee and big prawn fritters with lots of prawns at Penanglang Kopitiam. both at RM15.90. each.
hokkien mee – extra big prawn 1 pc and mantis prawns 3 pcs. the normal prawns were quite big too as compare to normal hokkien mee prawns.

at a cafe called ‘penang lang’ (meaning penangtite in hokkien) that was just opened about 2 months ago (sep 2023). there is already a ‘penanglang kopitiam’ at bukit mertajam (BM) so this is consider a branch (at island).
the hokkien mee was quite delicious as the broth was good and tasty and the sambal was spicy. anyway, i just try for once as the first time trying. i wouldn’t want to try it again as i prefer original hokkien mee.

i also bought the prawns fritters which i notice has so many prawns on it… as many as 10 prawns i think. RM16.90 for 4 pcs. the prawn fritters was good – very crispy and it was quite big… maybe about near 10 cm diameter. yes being big pcs and 4 pcs, i can only finish 2 so tapau (takeaway) the other 2 pcs.

then i try their signature drink – the hor kar sai coffee. hmm… i wonder what was it, they sprinkle on top of the coffee. taste quite good.

penanglang kopitiam is located opposite loh guan lye on jalan Macalister.
