Chiefeater Kane Chong had Margherita pizza, grilled seasonal fish and soda cremosa melon at Pizza Duo Campus Ampang

Burger, Pork-Free
Provisions DJ may be known for their bakes and brunches, but the fried chicken burger (RM27) here deserves some serious attention. The burger arrives with a thick, golden-crusted chicken thigh that’s been expertly fried — crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside. The crust isn’t just crunchy, it’s seasoned well and carries a depth of flavour that stays with you bite after bite.
The burger holds its form surprisingly well — no soggy bun collapse halfway through, which makes for an easy and clean eat. There’s cheese, lettuce, and a simple sauce that doesn’t compete with the chicken — just enough to lift it. The bun is glossy, fluffy, yet sturdy, the kind you’d expect from a café that also takes pride in its baked goods.

On the side, a generous helping of fries — perfectly golden, with a soft centre and just enough crisp on the outside to be addictive. Nothing fancy, but when it’s done right, it doesn’t have to be.
A solid burger that hits all the right notes. No drama, just good cooking.
