Not necessarily have to go to Ipoh for great food. Here at Gopeng, which is 15 drive from Ipoh has awesome food too. Great place for snakehead fish. The fish is cooked with 2 cooking style. You can opt for steam ginger or stir fried with onion and ginger. Another one with salted veggie or Chinese wine.
We opt for stir fried fillet and salted veggie. Really yummy.
The petai with minced meet is awesome.
The best thing is the price is reasonable. Highly recommended if you pass by Gopeng.
