Ru Ji Kitchen Fish Ball Mee
Fish Ball Noodles, Street Food
The fish balls at Ru Ji Kitchen may be inconsistently shaped but Chiefeater Luke Soon found that there is bouncy delight in this asymmetry

Fried Chicken, Street Food
I ordered food delivery from the Thai stall located at Restoran Kok Siong in Pusat Bandar Puchong. This coffeeshop is widely recognized for its famous Chinese-operated nasi kandar, but it also houses other stalls that cater to the local crowd.
My experience with the Thai stall was mixed. I ordered the Thai Sambal Fried Rice (RM14.90), which arrived in a generous portion, enough to save a serving for dinner. However, the rice was disappointing as it lacked the characteristic taste or aroma of sambal and didn’t feel authentically Thai. Furthermore, the prawns included in the dish were mushy.

On a more positive note, the Fried Chicken (RM16.60) was the highlight of the meal. It was good and tasty, providing a much-needed boost to the overall dining experience.

Thai Sambal Fried Rice – RM14.90
Fried Chicken – RM16.60
Subtotal – RM31.50
Promotion Discount – -RM7.00
Delivery Fee – RM0.00
Total Bill – RM24.50
Score: 7.17/10
M – Meal Value
The value is primarily driven by the portion size. Getting two meals out of a single order makes the RM14.90 price point for the fried rice quite attractive, though the quality of the seafood was a drawback.
Score: 7.0/10
V – Vroomness of Delivery
Because of the stall’s proximity, the delivery was exceptionally quick and free, which greatly enhanced the convenience of the meal.
Score: 7.5/10
X – X-Factor
The standout feature here is the fried chicken. While the main dish missed the mark on flavor authenticity, the well-prepared chicken provided the necessary “oomph” to make the meal satisfying.
