Yong Tau Foo, Street Food, Non-Halal
Stumbling upon good food when you least expect it is one of the great joys of eating, and this Yong Tau Foo stall that is located next to Restoran Shui Ling in Semenyih was precisely that kind of discovery. We had no expectations walking in, but what we found was a classic Hakka Yong Tau Foo.

The stall, known as Dgood, offers YTF at RM2 per piece.

We started modestly with six pieces: stuffed tau pok, tofu, red chilli, brinjal, ladies finger and beancurd skin roll. Within minutes, the verdict was unanimous — each bite was generously stuffed with well-seasoned minced meat flavored with salted fish and served with an assertively spicy chilli sauce that added fire and tang in just the right proportion.

It was all so good that it didn’t take long before I was back at the counter, ordering another six pieces.

For fans of traditional Hakka-style YTF, this unassuming spot hits all the right notes — no shortcuts, no gimmicks, just good old-fashioned skill and generous fillings.
Google Maps does not identify this restaurant so you would find it by Restoran Shui Ling and go to the outlet that is at the corner of Jalan 5 and Jalan 6.
