Chicken Wings, Street Food
There are plenty of places around town to get grilled chicken wings, but the stall at Restoran Soon Sing holds a special place as my personal favourite. What sets their wings apart is the savoury flavour profile. None of the sweet coatings or honey glazes you sometimes encounter at other stalls. Here, it’s all about the deep, smoky savouriness that really lets the natural taste of the chicken shine through.
The stall only opens in the evening, around 6 pm, though you’ll have to wait until about 6:30 pm before they’re ready to serve. But the wait is well worth it. There’s something immensely satisfying about the simple pleasure of these wings, perfectly grilled and seasoned without being overly sweet or heavy-handed with the sauce.
At RM17 for three sets of wings, it’s an affordable indulgence, and one I keep coming back to. If you’re a fan of grilled chicken wings and enjoy a more savoury take, this stall at Restoran Soon Sing is worth a visit.
