Japanese
Dinner at Ryoshi Izakaya in SS15 was a mixed bag, but the skewers saved the evening.
The Horenso Bacon (RM20) — spinach and bacon salad — was serviceable.

The Potato Mentai Yaki (RM12) was creamy and comforting.

The order of Kushiyaki Mori (RM27) came with five skewers — each well-grilled with a smoky edge and juicy finish. The chicken was nicely glazed, while the mushrooms and bacon-wrapped items added depth and contrast. For that price, it’s actually quite a good deal for a Japanese izakaya in Subang.

With a total bill of RM128 for four pax, the overall experience sits in the middle — fair value for casual Japanese dining, though the food consistency could use a tune-up.
Score: 7.5/10
Ryoshi Izakaya SS15 scores Flavour (7.6) for its well-executed skewers, Value (7.8) for decent pricing, and Experience (7.2) for an atmosphere that fits after-work gatherings. Not everything hit the mark, but the skewers alone make it worth stopping by for drinks and bites.
