Chiefeater VK had a serendipitous find when he ordered a meal from Nanyang Sand Ginger Steam Chicken via food delivery

Chicken Rice, Non-Halal
Dropped by Sam Ma Restaurant on the way back to Penang. Based on the car plates of the patrons coming to the shop, i would say 80% are local. We also ordered the nga choi (bean sprouts) but alas, kena sapu before sempat take picture. recommended small portion for a party of 2-3 person. Large portions one great for 4-5 pax.
Already a good crowd queuing when we arrived at 7pm. Waited about 10 mins for our table.
When you arrived, write at the register a 4 digits number (phone, car, whatever) and the number of pax.

Good selection of kampung and normal chicken in various portions.

And of course some add-ons

Special fans mounted on the ceiling Aircon (to spread the cool air evenly i think)

Silky smooth flat noodle in chicken broth.

Foreground: kampung chicken. 1/2 chicken.
Background: normal chicken. Ditto.

Pork balls. Left is the ginger garlic paste. Right is the home-made chilli dip, suitable for ppl who like to sweat! (Very spicy, for me that is)
