I was gifted a free dessert set by Candy Wong of Say Cheese Cafe Bukit Jalil. It included a slice of burnt cheesecake, a scoop of ice cream and a kumquat mojito (mocktail). I waited till 13 Sept, the day before my birthday, to redeem it to celebrate. I went at an off-peak time, around 5pm on a weekday, to avoid the crowd.

The burnt cheesecake was light and fluffy and delicious too, not like the rich and dense cheesecakes that are commonly sold, that people will feel jelak before finishing their dessert. The cold ice cream and lightly BBQed marshmallows were a nice accompaniment to the cheesecake. The kumquat mojito reminded me of kat zhai shuin mui (lime and preserved plum drink) from the regular shops. It was refreshing on a hot day.
Thanks to Candy for the generous gift. I appreciate it very much.
