Light Bites, Wine, Pork-Free
The guys at Telesign and Beyond4 love doing events at Sofitel and the after event party is always at The Sofitel KL Pool Bar. Surprising as it may be to some, I actually don’t enjoy social gatherings. However, I make an exception for the Beyond4 events because it’s a mingling of fellow entrepreneurs. It’s a time of connecting to be encouraged by what each of us are doing. Mental health is one area of challenge that entrepreneurs face and sessions like these is one way of coping with it.
The poolside bar has a view of the surrounding buildings which really comes alive during the night. They have an open grill that does a very good grilled chicken. The chicken is moist and the meat tender. Plus it is well seasoned.

We tried the Wagyu slider (RM43++) and Serunding Fried Potatoes (28++)
The Wagyu slider comes in a set of 3 mini burgers with a generous portion of French fries. This is similar to their grilled chicken, the beef patty is nicely done too. This could be a meal by itself for modest eaters.

The Serunding Fried Potatoes is a combination of Smoked Emmental Cheese, Chili Padi Beef Serunding, Smoked Paprika Fried Onion on Potatoes. However, I felt this dish was a miss. The Fried Potatoes were too mushy. No matter how the other items could have worked together, the texture of the potatoes put me off.

Sofitel KL Pool Bar has a selection of wine, gin, whiskey and beer to offer. Sadly the beer on offer are all bottled.
The ++ is a 10% service charge and a 6% SST.
