Desserts, Pork-Free
Strangers at 47 continues to impress with its creative and visually appealing dessert offerings and also their customer service. During this visit, we sampled the following items.
Banana Crepe with Ice Cream
This beautifully plated dessert featured soft, tender crepes paired with banana slices, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and a dollop of ice cream, topped with a crisp biscuit. The bananas brought their natural sweetness, while the crepes provided a soft base to balance the bold flavours. The ice cream, though standard, added a cool, creamy contrast to the warm elements.

Pandan Mochi Roll
The pandan mochi roll stood out for its innovative twist on a Swiss roll. The sponge was light, moist, and infused with a fragrant pandan flavour. The real highlight was the mochi centre, which added a chewy, textural element that complemented the softness of the sponge and the cream filling. However, there was a mishap in the mochi centre where we found a thin strand of hair in it. The crew was apologetic and took it off our bill and even offered us a replacement. Mishaps like this happens and I am impressed how quickly the crew settled this.

Coconut Latte
The coconut latte at Strangers 47 is an interesting take on a coffee classic. Topped with shredded coconut, it brought a nutty and slightly sweet twist to the drink. The latte itself was smooth and creamy, with the coconut adding a tropical nuance without overpowering the coffee’s flavour. Perfect for pairing with the dessert options here.
