Chiefeater VK experienced a dinner at Terra Dining KL where Malaysian flavours were re-imagined through an inventive tasting menu

Snacks
Stopped by the lounge café at Tanjung Ria Kitchen in Hyatt Regency KK and ended up with a simple plate of herb and garlic roasted potatoes. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much, especially after a rather forgettable Korean dinner earlier but this plate turned the night around.

What arrived was golden, rustic wedges carrying the aroma of roasted garlic and fresh herbs. You know that moment when the first bite tells you the kitchen actually cares? That was it.

The outside had that crisp, lightly blistered texture, while the inside stayed soft without turning mushy. The garlic was roasted whole till sweet and mellow, the herbs added a savoury lift, and the seasoning was just right. A comforting dish done well, and easily the star of the evening.

Herb and garlic roasted potatoes – RM15
