Chiefeater VK had the Thong Kee Kopitiam Puchong Roast Pork Nasi Lemak which would have been good if the sambal was present

Mee Siam, Pork-Free
This was my second time having the Mee Siam at The Toast, Puchong. I must say, it fared much better this round. The first time I tried it, I wasn’t particularly impressed. The flavours had felt a bit flat back then. But this time, the plate of Mee Siam that came to the table was well-executed. The noodles were just right, not too soggy or oily, with a very nice level of spice and tang. I found myself enjoying it more than expected. The last time I actually found it bland. I am glad they have gotten this dish right.

I had opted to add a piece of otak-otak with the meal. In hindsight, I would skip that addition on future visits, as it didn’t really add much to the plate. But on its own, the Mee Siam is now something I would happily order again.
