Tonkatsu, Non-Halal
Tonkatsu by Ma Maison Gardens, situated within The Table at Isetan, provides an exciting dining experience for fans of Japanese cuisine, particularly the beloved tonkatsu. During my visit, I had the opportunity to savour their Tonkatsu Pork Loin and Jumbo Prawn, which yielded an interesting mix of flavours.
The meal began with the Tonkatsu Pork Loin, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The pork was prepared to perfection, offering a juicy and tender texture that showcased the chef's skill. The seasoning was well-executed, the meat was tender and making it a genuine delight to savour. The Tonkatsu was a highlight of the meal, leaving a lasting impression.
However, the Jumbo Prawn, while enticing in theory, had a slight setback. The prawn meat turned out to be somewhat mushy in texture, which wasn't as satisfying as expected. It seemed that in this case, sticking to the pork option would have been the wiser choice.
To complement the meal, I opted to enjoy a cold one at Takumi Craftbar, which offered a refreshing Bulldog Draught. This choice of beverage paired well with the Tonkatsu, enhancing the overall dining experience. I drank too fast to take a picture of the beer.
