When Koreans talk about ginseng chicken soup, this place is an institution. Housed in a traditional hanok style building, the daily queues are long, filled with both local Koreans and tourists who come from far and wide to savour the most delicious ginseng chicken soup in Seoul.


We ordered both the Tosokchon Samgyetang ( white chicken) and the Tosokchon Ogolgye Samgyetang (black Silky chicken)?. Did they live up to the hype? For sure this is the best Samgyetang I’ve ever had. The chicken is so flavourful and the broth so rich! The Samgyetang is filled with glutinous rice, ginseng, pumpkin seeds, black sesame, chestnuts, jujube and ginko. Every spoonful is a delight to the taste buds and the entire pot is like a pot of treasure. So good!
