Back Alley Signature Pan Mee
- Under RM20 per pax
Back Alley is a truly hidden gem eatery located at Seri Gembira Avenue for Pan Mee lovers
Pan Mee, Pork-Free
Pan Mee, a KL staple have been getting popular and recognition in Penang, at Hawker Stalls, Standalone Cafes, and in some of the newer Malls in Penang. Within QueensBay Mall Food Court, there is the ever popular Uncle Kin Chili Pan Mee. Moderately priced for a Mall Outlet, at RM8.50 per bowl, getting a bowl of the pan mee can be a challenge during peak hours with long lines due to its popularity.
They have fine tuned their system for efficiency. One still has to queue to order and queue to get your noodles but the queue moves briskly especially with 8 staff busy preparing your order in advance.
Once you reach the head of the queue, hand over the receipt and voila, the finishing touches will be made to your order and it's ready for you to enjoy. Definitely the consistency is there, through the ingredients are slightly different from those Pan Mee in KL, no sayor manis.
In my recent visit the Chili paste is no longer in an urn for you to customise your spice level. it's now in plastic packet.
