uncle lim's best PAL. no, i'm not talking about 'pal' as in a friend. PAL here stands for '𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒎 𝒍𝒂𝒌𝒔𝒂'. uncle lim, as he is known at Hin Bus Depot, where he sells his laksa, is my ex colleague, whom i known as vincent. (aka Eng Seng Lim). 'uncle lim best PAL' is his signature tagline to promote his laksa.
the last time i try his laksa, think was before covid19... that long. so now i keep seeing his post here and there, and then suddenly one day, he was featured in bulletin mutiara.
all that makes me more eager to go and try his laksa again. so i went this morning.
i was kind of shock that his laksa has now increased to RM12.00. the last time i took it, less than RM10 but i guess that was too long ago. also, this place, hin bus depot, is more for tourists, so it is a tourist price.
anyway his laksa was very delicious, so okay with the price (once in a long while). really very good. one of the best i have tasted. the broth was thick and flavourful and noodle so soft.

however, today his laksa was very spicy, even when i did not ask for more spicy... and i never take in the cut chilli too. the broth itself was spicy. when vincent came to talk to me, i told him so, that his laksa today was very spicy. he then said it is because of the chilli boh that he bought... perhaps today the chilli boh sent to him was too spicy. he then said the other customer next to me, also remarked to him the laksa was too spicy.

overall though as i love spicy, it was still tolerable for me though i kept sweating while eating it. haha. i guess for those who cannot eat spicy, if happened to eat it today, cannot finished it.
