Char Kuey Teow, Street Food
A year or two ago I found Vui’s Fried Rice operating at the neighbourhood iconic coffee shop, Restoran Kam Heong. We’ve been frequenting this place since I was in my 20s.
Glad to find Vui’s Fried Rice has increased his repertoire to include CKT and the pork noodles is actually good.
The evenings here are filled with memories of the famous Teochew braised duck, but in the day time the prawn noodles used to reign supreme. The prawn noodles during my last visit was still ok at 6/10. But in recent times Vui’s has catapulted ahead.
Their fried rice is seen on most tables here. Next up, the pork noodles. The pork noodles is also 6.5/10. Not like a Peter’s in Brickfields but very respectable.

Their CKT is 6.5/10.

There’s something for everyone in the family when it comes Kam Heong coffee shop, both night and day.
