Big Breakfast, Pastries, Coffee, Pork-free
It is good to see how Wild Yeast Bakery Cafe has grown from a single shop to now occupying two shop lots in Damansara Jaya. They are a popular spot for a sourdough stop. But that wasn’t what I had when I was there the other day.
I was looking for an egg dish for breakfast but when I came upon the chicken sausage croissant (RM18++) on their menu which is only available on weekends, it was an easy decision on what I was to have. What was interesting in this pastry is how they held it in place within the croissant with stick skewers. I am not sure if that contributes to the taste but was an interesting visual element.

I wasn’t disappointed with the chicken sausage that they used. It had a firm texture with good flavour (I would still prefer a beef sausage) and the croissant was fluffy and flaky. Paired with a cup of coffee (RM11++) it was a satisfying and generously portioned breakfast. The sausage croissant here was quite a good size bigger than a similar pastry at Doudou that’s also priced at RM18++.
