Breakfast at XOXO Coffee Syopz in Taylor’s turned out to be a simple one, but one that worked rather nicely for the price. I had the Double Egg Muffin with a hot latte, and for RM15.30 all in, it felt like a tidy little morning set that did what it needed to do.

The muffin was the part I enjoyed most. It had a nice chewy bounce to it, firm enough to give some bite but not so hard that it turned tough. That texture made a big difference because a breakfast muffin can so easily go flat or dry if the bread is not right. Here, it held together well and gave the sandwich a satisfying structure.

The eggs were nicely done too. They sat neatly in the muffin without becoming messy, and together with the sauce and greens, made for a breakfast that felt balanced enough without trying to do too much. This was not a huge breakfast, but it had enough substance to feel like a proper start to the day.

The hot latte was a good complement. It had the sort of smooth, easy-drinking character that suited a simple breakfast sandwich well. Nothing too fancy was needed here. It just helped round out the meal in a pleasant way.

Overall, this was one of those breakfasts that lands through sensible execution rather than novelty. The muffin had good texture, the eggs were well done, and the coffee tied everything together nicely. At RM15.30, it is hard to complain.
