Burger, Pork-Free
I had been to Yaku Pavilion Bukit Jalil for set lunch which included a beef patty. The beef patty tasted quite so I decided to go back to have it as part of a beef burger.
Their Cheesy Beef Burger (RM22.90++) comes in a well stacked burger which comes along with a generous amount of cross-cut fries on the side. The star of the burger was undoubtedly the delicious beef patty. It brought back fond memories from my previous visit, as it retained its excellent flavour and quality. The savoury taste of the beef patty was consistent and satisfying. Please take note that if you like your beef patty very firm like a Ramly patty, this is not for you. This is a tender patty. Firm enough for a bite but not so hard that you have to work at biting into it.
On the downside, the burger bun didn't quite meet expectations. While it was tasty, it was a bit too soft and crumbled easily as I ate it. However, the flavour combination of the beef patty, the cheese with the other ingredients and the bun was still enjoyable.
Jen had an Enoki Tempura Burger (19.90++) which was a vegan burger. A potato croquette was substituted in place of a meat patty, to give it the impression that there is a patty. Jen said the croquette lacked seasoning.
One notable and thoughtful touch was the provision of gloves for diners. This practical addition allowed me to savor the burger without getting my hands messy, which was greatly appreciated.
