Burger
A revisit to Yellow Brick Road and this time I decided to try their Classic Cheese Burger, but the experience left me somewhat disappointed. A good burger relies heavily on the quality of its core component, and unfortunately, this patty simply did not taste very beefy. It lacked the deep, savoury punch that one expects from a premium beef burger.
To add to the frustration, the inclusion of a fried egg made the entire assembly quite difficult to handle. Rather than adding a rich layer to the overall flavour, the runny yolk and structure of the egg just turned the meal into a mess. While the presentation looked promising, the actual execution fell short of the mark. And the cheese lost its distinctiveness with the egg creating a mess.

The saving grace of the meal was the fries. I should have just ordered a plate of fries at RM14++.

Classic Cheese Burger: RM39.00++
Score: 6.0/10
M – Meal Value
The pricing for burgers at Yellow Brick Road is consistent with café standards in the area, but the value is diminished when the primary ingredient, the beef patty, lacks the flavor depth required to justify the cost.
Score: 6.0/10
V – Venue & Vibes
Yellow Brick Road maintains its reputation for a bright, energetic, and aesthetically pleasing environment. The venue remains a popular spot for social gatherings, even if this particular dish didn’t hit the high notes.
Score: 8.0/10
X – X-Factor
The X-factor was absent in this meal. A great burger should have a “wow” factor in its seasoning or texture, but this version felt more like a logistical challenge due to the messiness of the egg and a lackluster patty.
Score: 4.0/10
