Chiefeater Paula Tan had the Tuaran Mee at City Food Corner Gaya Street which she found to be full flavoured
Street Food, Non-Halal
I’ve been to Yat Yat Seng (YYS) for the 2nd time in a week. The first visit was focused on the Ipoh style curry mee, which was good. Today it was the others, the rest of the diverse menu, such as chicken feet, see ham or blood clams, chicken rice and kai see hor fun. Happy to report they were all above average. This place isn’t ‘cheap’ and reminds me of the Oriental Cafe in MidValley Gardens. Total bill came up to RM180+ for 3 pax.
Personally, I think it’s a great idea for suburban malls like Megah Rise to house specialities and offerings from nearby shop lots, in this case Tmn Megah and the adjacent wet market. I’d imagine a similar concept for Starling Mall, and others; could this be the ‘future’ of Malaysian real estate (suburban malls)? Megah Rise Mall was bustling, teeming with activity; certainly helps with the comfortable A/C setting, ample parking spaces - I could see similar formats taking off elsewhere in the Klang Valley. Imagine having to search for parking when visiting the shop lots of old.
