Kopi, Yong Tau Foo, Non-Halal
On my journey up north, I stopped by Thye Fah Coffee Shop in Tanjung Malim for a simple but delightful breakfast. This charming little kopitiam game me a good kickstart to the the trip with its authentic flavours and homely ambiance.
As I settled down, I decided to indulge in their signature kopi, a staple of any traditional kopitiam. The moment I took my first sip, I was greeted by the delightful aroma from the cup. Rich and aromatic – it delivered a satisfying taste that awakened my senses, setting the perfect tone for the morning ahead. The proprietor says he uses Kopi Cap Arnab to make his coffee.

To complement the kopi, I opted for a few pieces of their homemade yong tau foo. Thye Fah Kopitiam still make the Yong Tau Foo themselves, starting from mincing the fish meat themselves, resulting in an authentic taste. The combination of the yong tau foo and the aromatic kopi made for a delightful breakfast experience.

As I savoured my meal, I couldn’t help but appreciate the simplicity and authenticity of Thye Fah Kopitiam. Its warm and inviting ambiance, coupled with the delicious fare, made for a memorable stop on my journey. The entire breakfast, comprising a cup of kopi, a cup of tea and 5 pieces of yong tau foo, came up to RM11.80.
