expensive lunch at Ms Nocino Restaurant today. RM74.00. well i was attracted by the 'buy 1, free 1 coffee' offer because tomorrow is international coffee day. i ordered the crispy pork drunken pasta which is at RM28 but i add prawns, extra RM15, so comes to RM43. then i also order soup - roasted tomato & basil soup at RM19.00. the coffee was RM12. so damage was RM74.... consider expensive for one day's lunch but if taking into account all those 3 together, and in a nice air-con restaurant, guess quite reasonable price.
crispy pork drunken pasta - RM28.00
add prawns (3) - RM15.00
roast pork, thai basil, thai chilli, oyster mushroom, baby corn, chinese wine,
was told this is spicy dish but i don't find it one bit spicy. overall it was quite good
roasted tomato & basil soup. RM19.00
delicious. soup was very thick and a bit sour.
i love the cheese garlic bread. very different from other garlic bread with soup i came across. look so good... and taste so good that i did not want to dip it in the soup.
i don't see any other restaurants or cafe with some offer on occasion of international coffee day but i saw ms nocino has, and as i do love coffee, so i went there for a meal. this was my second time there. the first time i went there, was during the US potatoes fiesta contest.
i was surprised the friendly lady boss, ving, can recognise me as just as i walked in, she exclaimed "lucia, right?". it could also be because i had posted on their FB asking about the free coffee offer.
i like to go to this restaurant because the food is good, the boss is friendly and best of all... very easy parking for my motorbike... just across the road. i can even see my bike when i was dining at my table (on 1st floor).
