Big Breakfast, Pork-Free
VCR Galloway was one of early eateries that opened at Jalan Galloway. The building that they occupy dates back to 1927 but remains very well kept. Over the years VCR has built up a following and has since opened several more outlets to serve their fans.
As is our norm, my wife and I would share a big breakfast. The VCR Galloway Big Breakfast (RM40+) comes with 2 Housemade Chipolata Sausages, Mushroom Fricasse, Lamb Bolognese, Brulee Tomato, 2 slices of Chicken Ham or Beef Bacon, Free-range Scrambled Eggs on Seeded Sourdough Toast.
While the serving filled up the plate, what was lacking was seasoning in many of the items. The sausage while having good texture lacked flavour. The scrambled eggs were unevenly seasoned with some parts salty and some parts missing the salt (though this could be remedied with table salt). However the standout in the dish was the tomato. VCR Galloway used a lovey variety that was juicy and sweet. Well a tomato is a fruit after all.
The + is for the 6% SST.
Since VCR Galloway opened, many other outlets have started sprouting around this area too. Among them are 3 Years Old and even Burrow.
