We had a Porky Affair and more than a pint of Guinness artistry at Arthur's Storehouse Pavilion Bukit Jalil. The buzz in Bukit Jalil (October 2023) recently was they even had a Bono lookalike at the opening of the outlet.

The story of Arthur's Storehouse has its roots in the legendary Arthur Guinness, the visionary founder of the Guinness brewery in Dublin in 1759. Over the years, Guinness has commemorated Arthur's Day globally with music, entertainment, and, of course, lots of pints. Arthur's Storehouse was born from this tradition, creating an environment where people could come together to enjoy good company and, more importantly, Guinness beer.

We started with the Oink Platter. Priced at RM189++, this platter showcased a delightful assortment of pork dishes, each with its own unique flavours and characteristics. Among the items that captured our taste buds were the pancetta, the pork neck, and the chorizo.

The pancetta, known for its perfectly balanced saltiness and tantalizing crispiness, was an absolute delight. Its robust flavour and texture were truly satisfying. The pork neck, another star of the platter, was tender, juicy, and packed with savoury goodness. And the chorizo, with its hint of spiciness, added the perfect zing to the meal.

We continuted with the Pappardelle in Guinness Cream, and we were not disappointed. The pasta was cooked to absolute perfection, with a toothsome al-dente texture that showcased the chef's skill. The Guinness cream sauce added a depth of flavour that was rich, creamy, and utterly delightful. What elevated this dish to perfection was the addition of pancetta, bringing a wonderful smokiness that blended seamlessly with the creaminess of the sauce.

And then came the surprise in the form of a Guinness pint. As iconic as the brand itself, this Guinness beer arrived with a special touch – a unique print on top of the foam. But the fun didn't end there. You also have the option to provide your own picture, adding a personal and interactive element to the drinking experience. It was a memorable and Instagram-worthy moment.
