Nanhua Village Penang Kopi
Chiefeater Tai Kwee Fatt had kopi at Nanhua Village in Penang

Chinese, Non-Halal
starview restaurant is a decades old popular chinese restaurant. it was first located at burmah rd (near where the hakka association is, right?), then it shifted to new world park. after that it shifted to a place of its own – taking up the former federal cinema building.
yesterday we (rose charities group) had dinner there and here are the food we had. a few friends had said now their food are not so good. well out of the 7 dishes we try, some okay to me. it’s a chinese course dinner. first to come is always the ‘four combination’ followed by the soup. then last to come is usually noodles or fried rice, followed by dessert.
five combination (pictured above)
the centre one are prawns with salad fruits below.
background two, don’t know what they are called but seems that both are salt
assorted seafood soup.
but i did not really notice what seafood! enjoying myself too much!

fried chicken chop vietnam style
this chicken is just so-so. think there’s some lemon sauce in it.

braised fresh mushroom with bean stick and brocolli
very common dish in chinese course dinner when it comes to the veggie part. well usually i do like this dish.

steamed grouper fish with premium galic and sauce
grouper fish with lots of garlic! this is the dish i love most as there were so much (many?) garlic. well i always love fish anyway.

seafood fried rice
fried rice. quite nice.

dessert – lemonade longan. good. a few small pcs of coloured jelly in it too.

dessert – deep fried bun with lotus paste
