Restoran Serai Kampung Nasi Lemak
Chiefeater Lee Mun and his wife tried the popular Nasi Lemak at Restoran Serai Kampung which he found lived up to its reputation
Curry Mee, Street Food, Non-Halal
Restoran Kum Sing is a favourite kopitiam of many Puchongites. They have two sessions where the stalls are active. One in the morning till about 2 pm for the breakfast and lunch crowd and another session in the evening from 6 pm to about 9 pm for the dinner crowd.
One of the popular daytime stalls there is the Curry Mee stall which is right at the entrance of Restoran Kum Sing. On one of the rare days where I treat myself to noodles, I had a bowl of curry mee and I am so glad I ordered it.
You can have the curry mee with the usual curry chicken or with Yong Tau Foo add-ons. I had it with Yong Tau Foo. The curry broth may not be very thick as the seller uses less santan in it than others, but nevertheless it remains flavourful. But what she excels at is how she cooks the yellow noodles. She doesn’t overcook it till it becomes mushy, but the yellow noodles retains firmness to the bite. And this despite taking time to take pictures and videos before I ate it.
My bowl of Curry Mee together with 5 pieces of Yong Tau Foo at Restoran Kum Sing came up to RM11.70 which might not be cheap, but because it elicited such pleasure I don’t think I have anything to complain.
I think I can put it to my personal pick as one of the best Curry Mee in Puchong.
