Dinner at Pik Wah Restaurant with several friends was revelatory about the quality of food that they serve
Nasi Goreng, Pork-Free
We were visiting our daughter and we came upon Grill & Goreng by accident after the first place we went to could not even take our orders after 10 minutes. Grill & Goreng as their name suggests specialises in either grilling or frying the food that they serve.
We ordered Nasi Goreng (RM10.90), Indomie Goreng & Fried Chicken Tenders (RM12.90) and a Grilled Eggplant (RM9.90). From the time we sat down till we ordered and the time the food arrived, it took less than 15 minutes. It’s a good thing we blew off from the first place.
I am so glad we found Grill & Goreng. The Nasi Goreng tasted so good. Even the cucumber. The rice was firm and full of flavour. Well seasoned and very well fried. My Indomie Goreng was alright. I thought it could have been better but the Fried Chicken Tenders was tender on the inside but crispy on the outside as stated in its name.
The Grilled Eggplant was a wee bit on the sweet side with the sauce that they used to coat it but I enjoyed it too. The dishes are accompanied by two types of sambal, which depending on your ability to handle the Scoville scale would either mean it burns or it’s mild. My wife found that it burns but I thought it was mild.
With drinks, our meal for 2 came up to RM38.20. No regrets coming here. I think I don’t mind visiting my daughter more often at Kota Damansara.
Prices are nett.
