Chiefeater Russ King Karl whacked and finished off the Wantan Mee and Chee Cheong Fun at Sin Jing San Food Centre

After being inspired to savour Korean cold noodles or Naengmyeon after watching a Korean food show, we went looking for a restaurant that serves it. That's how we found Lee Ga Korean Noodles located in Desa Sri Hartamas.
The basic Naengmyeon bowl (RM27+) is made from potato starch and had a delightfully chewy texture. Served in a refreshingly cold broth, it was the perfect dish to beat the heat on a sweltering day. However, the air conditioning in the restaurant was so powerful that I found myself shivering halfway through the meal! Nonetheless, the unique texture and flavour of the cold noodle left a lasting impression.
Thankfully I had ordered a boiled mixed pork dish, Suyuk together with my spicy Naengmyeon. This hearty and comforting dish was just what I needed to thaw out. The succulent slices of mixed pork parts were cooked to perfection, and each bite was bursting with flavour.
Another highlight of the meal was the beef broth (RM32+), which boasted a rich and savoury flavour profile. However, I couldn't help but notice that the beef had a slightly gamey taste, which detracted slightly from the overall enjoyment of the dish. Nevertheless, it was still a satisfying option, especially on a chilly day.
Paired with a side of steaming rice, it was the ultimate comfort food experience.
Overall, my experience at Lee Ga Korean Noodles was a memorable one. Just be sure to bring a sweater if you're sensitive to the cold!
