Our catch-up at Bottega last night. a celebration of friendships that've stood the test of time. Deciding what to have was tough at this deli-turned cafe, so we went with the RM128 package that offers each a pretty-much unlimited sampling of canapés, meats, pastas, lasagnas & pizza - with three drinks.

Despite its basic presentation, the food was made with love & my favourite was the malloreddus, ziti pasta that was the perfect al dente in a beefy tomato sauce. Can't single out a canapé that was better than the rest, though the cheese prosciutto deserves a special mention.

Large glasses of fresh watermelon juice too, and the honey lavender kombucha was so sparkly good.

White wine risotto was a bit overpowering for me, but the tiramisu concluded the meal on a nice, buttery note. Very nice, considering I'm not a tiramisu fan.

And the icing on the cake was when our group won the top lucky draw hamper of deli offerings. yaay.
