Las Meninas TRX, is one establishments situated in the bustling Dining Terrace section of The Exchange TRX. We opted to order from their selection of tapas and main dishes in their set lunch menu. Jen chose the mussel and clam tapas, while I indulged in the spring chicken. Yes, I know I am boring that way, but I just wanted my favourite.

As the tapas arrived, we were greeted by a good aroma. The dish looked expertly crafted and beautifully presented. The tapas, though well seasoned, fell short of expectations as the seafood proved to be disappointingly mushy, detracting from the overall enjoyment of the dish. Nevertheless, the accompanying sauce proved to be a highlight, its rich and flavourful notes enticing us to mop up every last drop with the crusty bread provided.

Moving on to the spring chicken, I found it to be somewhat lacklustre in flavour. The taste fell on the bland side. However, the accompanying roast potatoes stole the show, their golden exterior and fluffy interior a testament to culinary perfection.

I provided feedback to the wait staff on our dining experience on the seafood tapas. To my delight, our feedback was met with graciousness and understanding, and the waiter promptly returned with an extra glass of wine as a gesture of goodwill. I wasn’t expecting this and appreciated his action.

Despite the minor hiccups encountered during our meal, I left Las Meninas TRX with a sense of optimism and anticipation. They may still be finding its footing in the kitchen but at least the front of house knows how to engage customers. I am sure I will be back and I look forward to seeing how Las Meninas TRX evolves in the days to come
Las Meninas is a very pretty looking establishment and is suitable for events. While they don’t have private rooms, they have a section near the bar which is somewhat semi-private and is suitable for about 10 pax. Or why not just book the whole outlet.
