Chiefeater VK discovered an exceptional value proposition at Nasi Lemak Shop Sunway Square, matching robust sambal udang petai

Yong Tau Foo, Chee Cheong Fun, Non-Halal
I recently stumbled upon Friendship Cafe at its new location near the Awan Besar station, and what a delightful re-discovery it turned out to be. This kopitiam is known for its famous Chee Cheong Fun, and I couldn’t resist giving it a try.

The Chee Cheong Fun here is served with a savoury curry sauce that truly hits the spot. The rice noodle rolls are perhaps a bit think for my liking but the curry sauce is rich and flavourful. It’s the kind of dish that warms you from the inside out.

Chee Cheong Fun in KL without Yong Tau Foo is incomplete. Their Yong Tau Foo remains competent but what elevates the CCF and YTF here is the the sambal accompanying it. That remains outstanding with the shrimp sambal adding an extra robust flavour to the whole dish.

At RM16.30 for a plate of CCF and 6 items of YTF, I think it is the expected price to pay for CCF but it was a good meal.
