Steamboat buffet dinner at KioKa Noodles Green Lane with a large group of about 30 people. it was my first time there. four persons share a pot of steamboat. the food were placed in another room, away for the dining area. all the food were placed inside a huge fridge with doors. good. keep all the food fresh. there were the usual steamboat food like the different type of meat, seafood, noodles and different type of ‘balls’.
there were dessert such as jelly and ice cream and two types of drinks. oh, the infamous childhood ‘ice cream malaysia’ was available too. i was surprised there were a number of snacks in pack and sweets available too, which at first i thought for sale. didn’t get to eat them in the restaurant, so took some back (yes, allowed).
all in all i can say it was a good buffet steamboat in terms of the wide variety and if you can eat a lot, it is indeed good value for money. btw, do note they charged for unused food, so don’t be greedy to pile up too much food.
beside steamboat, they have dim sum, western food and other type of food…. unlike when they were at sg nibong (under the bridge) – that’s why the name ‘kioka’ meaning under the bridge in hokkien), just selling koay teow th’ng.
my first helping has to be prawns, what else. tiger prawns 5 pcs, normal prawns 2 pcs.
also too the two kind of mussels/clams
second helping are the crabs and the 'balls'. of course third helping, has to go for the prawns again
different type of sauce here in the foreground and behind it are the different types of noodle, plus egg.
far left is the snacks corner, and you cans see the snacks and sweets that i took
there are also two types of drinks available - lu han kuo and plum juice, two types of jelly and ice crea
