Many claim Bee Hooi Coffee Shop in Pulau Tikus has the best sar hor fun in Penang. Has a very distinct wok hei taste despite being prepared super fast. The elderly lady chef obviously knows what she is doing. Hokkien char (Penang style with normal yellow noodles) here is also highly recommended. Prawns are large and fresh giving a nice bite though liver a tad overcooked. I am on my way to KL so I am likely to be going for some authentic canto tai chow and then I will have a perspective for comparison.
