Chiefeater VK visited Le Le Wine Restaurant in Puchong, where a comforting pasta made for a satisfying dinner despite the burrata's miss

Japanese, Pork-Free, Fine Dining
I visited Ishin Rio Puchong during their soft launch phase, and despite it being early days, they had quite a good dinner crowd. They are probably one of the more beautiful looking Japanese restaurants in Puchong.

Our dinner started off with a slight hiccup when we received a different roll than what I had ordered. The manager, Christine, offered to cancel the item but we were alright with it. We enjoyed the additional roll, and it set a positive tone for the rest of the meal.

We then had the chef’s special, which was an assortment of the sashimi (raw fish) available that day. Priced at RM130 per person, the store manager suggested we take a two-person offering to be shared among the four of us, which was a great recommendation. The freshness and quality of the fish were exceptional, making it a highlight of the meal.

We also tried the lamb kakuni, a dish that stands out for its rich, flavourful profile. Lamb kakuni is a Japanese dish where lamb is braised slowly in a mixture of soy sauce, sugar, and sake until it becomes tender and absorbs the savory-sweet flavors of the broth. The lamb was succulent, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture that paired beautifully with the subtly sweet and umami-rich sauce.

Our dessert was a panda shaped mousse.

During this soft launch period, they are offering a free glass of sake for every diner. Since Jen could not drink, I gladly helped her with her glass of sake.

Dinner for four came up to RM484, which we found to be good value given the lovely ambience and the quality of the food. Ishin Fine Dine promises to be a delightful addition to Puchong’s dining scene, and I’m looking forward to visiting again once they’re fully operational.
