Fried Rice, Non-Halal
I had read a good review about the chicken chop at Sweet Memory so I decided to order it via food delivery. The order arrived promptly, and we were eager to dig in. Jen’s XO fried rice (RM16.43) was a pleasant surprise, boasting a solid wok hei that added a satisfying depth to each bite. She mentioned it was pretty good, and I found myself agreeing with her assessment, after taking a bite.
The creamy salted egg golden chicken chop (RM28.09), on the other hand, was a different story. While the portion was generous, the chicken itself lacked flavour. It seemed to depend entirely on the sauce to carry the dish. Unfortunately, this left the chicken tasting rather bland, as I believe that even with a rich sauce, the meat itself should still be well-seasoned. This one missed the mark for me.
