Chinese, Non-Halal
After a game of pickleball we made our way to have lunch at Restaurant Siaw Kah. This restaurant holds a culinary legacy with two shops sharing the same name. There's an intriguing hint of family history, though this meal was more about savouring flavours than delving into sagas.

Lunch was a feast of their famous pepper soup, claypot pork belly, pork ribs, vegetables, and fried fish. Each dish brought its own allure to the table, creating a hearty and satisfying spread.
The pepper soup was the standout, boasting a robust, peppery warmth that lingered on the palate, comforting and invigorating. People used to take it for averting cold and strengthening the body but now it's taken because it tastes good.

The claypot pork belly delivered a delightful balance of rich, caramelised flavours, with the meat tender and infused with a savoury depth.

The pork ribs were good, succulent and well-marinated.

The pork tendon was chewy and offered a lovely bite.

The fried fish brought a crispy and golden crunch to the meal.

Fried tofu.

The vegetables provided a refreshing touch, rounding out the sumptuous lunch.

Restaurant Siaw Kah offers a place to savour some flavours that speak of tradition and comfort.
