CapitaSpring Tower on Market Street is quickly transforming itself into an icon of revolutionary creative dining. The latest addition to the Tower is OUMI Modern Japanese, a modern Japanese Kappo dining restaurant helmed by Head of Japanese Culinary Development, Chef Lamley Chua with sky-high views and the World’s Highest Food Forest as its backyard.
Oumi is a Japanese restaurant that takes dining to the next level—literally—since it’s perched on the 51st floor of CapitaSpring. With stunning city views, this spot offers a farm-to-table experience, bringing fresh, high-quality ingredients to its modern Japanese dishes.

The menu focuses on Kappo-style cuisine, meaning the chefs prepare dishes right in front of diners, adding a touch of theatre to the meal. They work with locally sourced ingredients, including produce from the building’s own rooftop garden. Expect beautifully plated sashimi, grilled meats, and inventive flavour combinations that make each dish stand out.

The set lunch isn’t too shabby – with a crudo starter. Followed by a main – baked cod on white rice. Perfection. The (good) oiliness drizzled, oozed onto each the glistening rice bead. 7.5/10

The crudo was alright at 6.5/10

Didn’t get to snap the dessert – it was a vanilla pudding at 7/10
